LECIP vaulting equipment is networked via ethernet for more efficient and reliable data transmission without affecting operating procedures. Using an ethernet connection reduces the amount of wiring between the interfaced equipment which eliminates wire clutter in the bus garage environment. The same network infrastructure can be leveraged in the garage to reduce equipment costs, maintenance costs, and other costs associated with implementing new and cutting-edge technologies.
With any new system purchase or installation, agency staff must be “re-trained” on the new equipment. LECIP’ s garage system equipment implements standard revenue collection procedures that most agencies are familiar with. This reduces transition time and training costs, while increasing agency staff satisfaction by offering a solution they are comfortable with.
LECIP offers secure data transfer from the farebox to the garage computer via infrared probe and WiFi communication. All data stored in the farebox are safely sent to the garage computer using these two methods and any farebox parameters are downloaded from the garage computer to the farebox.
